1. Check regularly stainless steel elbow which has been stored for a long time. It is appropriate to clean and remove dirt on the exposed finished surface and store neatly in the ventilated and dry place instead of stacking it outdoors. It is necessary to keep the stainless steel elbow dry and ventilated, maintain it clean and tidy and store it on the basis of correct methods.
2. Before installation, it must be carefully paid attention to check each standard of stainless steel elbow, the use requirement whether the size is in line with it or not, eliminate the defects caused during the transportation process and remove the dirt of the stainless steel elbow. The steps mentioned above are what people should do before installing the stainless steel elbow.
3. In the process of installation, stainless steel elbow can be installed in pipeline directly in the light of the connection method. In general, It should be paid attention to the fact that stainless steel elbow can only be installed horizontally because the medium flow direction of the stainless steel elbow is from the bottom of the longitudinal valve clack to the top of the longitudinal valve clack. It needs to be noticed to the sealing of the stainless steel elbow during installation so as to avoid the leakage phenomenon that may affect the normal operation of the pipeline.
4. Valve packing gland’ bolts of stainless steel elbow should be uniformly screwed up instead of being pressed into crooked shape in order to avoid bumping and hindering the movement of block valve rod movement or causing leakage.
5. Stainless steel elbows of ball valve, globe valve, gate valve are only used in full open or full close. It is not allowed to regulate flow for fear that the sealing surface erosion which can accelerate the speed of abrasion. There is back sealing device in gate valve and up-thread globe valve. So, the hand wheel should be tightened back to the top which can prevent media leakage from the packing.
